Brief Summary

The Ellen Macarthur Foundation website contains a valuable Education section for teachers concerning closed loop thinking, the circular economy and every aspect of thinking in systems. The 'teachers toolkit' offers a rich and varied menu: the raw material for hundreds of activities. Film clips, animations, powerpoint slides, colour graphics, case studies in bite sized segments and whole sets of tailored images from their publications.

Brief Summary Huge resource for both communities and schools to address sustainability. Lots of exercises for teaching sustainability principles but not much on examining sustainability of existing curricula. Brief Summary Website for The World Sustainable Development Teach-In Day, which occured on 03.12.10. Although the event is now past, the website contains interesting resources. The idea of the day is to foster a truly global debate on sustainable development. This means, for example, that a presentation prepared by a university lecturer or professor from Rio de Janeiro, be used at a lecture in New York or Beijing. This global interaction on matters related to sustainable development is the essence of this unique event, the largest initiative on education for sustainable development which has ever been organised.
