HEA ADM 'Create Sustain Ability' Forum 14.05.10

Over a 100 Representatives from a wide range of UK and international Higher Education establishments recently gathered at the RIBA building in London for a forum about embedding sustainability in curricula. The event was hosted by the Art, Design and Media Subject Group of the Higher Education Academy. The event was an opportunity for art & design academics to exchange ideas, share feedback from initiatives and forge collaborative links.

SITE author Chris Smith attended the Forum and did a presentation about the SITE. According to Chris, the event was "highly successful and informative. Some great networking links with other academics and organisations were made and the feedback and responses I got about the SITE were very positive indeed. We have already had contributions to SITE materials and information as a result of the event"

The SITE presentation was one of three presentations made by Plymouth College of Art staff; Malcolm Ferris presented a paper about the Making Futures initiative and Mary Loveday-Edwards presented a paper alongside Teresa Gray about the delivery of ESF (Education for a Sustainable Future) within the HE contextual studies programe at PCA
